The Isle of Man still retains the £1 note which was ditched by the Bank of England and many other banks in 1988. These £1 notes signed by Shimmin as Chief Financial Officer all have the AA prefix (P40c) The front has a mature portrait of Queen Elizabeth with a view of Tynwald Hill on the back Available in EF and Crisp Uncirculated.
