These bright blue 500 tenge notes dated 2017 from Kazakhstan are printed both in vertical and horizontal formats. The front, printed vertically, shows flying doves over the Kazakh Eli monument in Astana with views of the House of Parliament. In 2001, Kuwait celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Liberation of Kuwait after the Gulf War by issuing a polymer 1 dinar note (PCS2). The front features the arms of the bank. Laos has just issued a new series of banknotes. We can now offer Uncirculated pairs of the 10,000 and 20,000 kip notes, dated 2020 but only just released into circulation. Designs are similar to previous issues with enhanced security features. A portrait of Kaysone Phomvihane is on the fronte alongside a view of the Wat That Luang Stupa in Vientiane. These 5 kip notes were issued by Laos in the early 1960’s and bear the portrait of King Sisaveng Vong is on the front. On the back we find a view of the Wat That Luang Stupa in Vientiane and a royal soldier riding an elephant. Because of its association with the monarchy it was withdrawn in 1976 when Pathet Lao took control of the country. Uncirculated.

Vignettes from daily life such as rubber tapping, the rice harvest and a market scene are on the backs.
These 10 dinars, issued by Libya in 2002, feature a portrait of Omar El Mukhtar (P66) He was a teacher turned resistance fighter who led the fight against the Italian colonization of Libya. Regarded as a national hero, he was skilled in desert warfare through his knowledge of local geography, which he turned to his advantage against the Italians. His 20 year struggle came to an end in 1931 when he was captured by the Italian Army and executed. He was 73.
