New Stock September 2024

In this latest stock, we bring you a number of very interesting items starting with three unique Australian silver Kilo coins: the 2014 Koala 1 Kilo Matt Proof, the 2014 Kookaburra Reverse Proof, and the 2014 Year of the Horse Proof, each weighing 1,000 grams of pure silver and offered at attractive prices!

We also have a small supply of Victoria Young Head Maundy Set GEF. The Young Head Victorian Maundy Sets on offer have all four coins of the same date and the coins are in Good Extremely Fine condition, which is a very high grade to find early silver in. If you don’t have it in your collection already, now might be a good time to do get it. Continuing on with Queen Victoria, we also have the 1887 Florin Uncirculated. These Jubilee Head Florins are from the first year of issue, 1887, in uncirculated condition. These coins are 137 years old and in Uncirculated, never used condition. Supplies are limited and you can own a Jubilee Head Florin from the first year of issue.

Furthermore, we have a very interesting addition this month, the Japan 2 Shu 'Tenpo Nishukin'. These are small coins or bars that were minted by local magnates, but were exchangeable from region to region. They are .298 gold. They were known as 'ryō', and it was a gold currency unit in Japan for some 300 years until the reforms of the Emperor Meiji brought in the yen in 1871.

In addition to these exciting new coins, we also invite you to explore our wide range of collectables, including British, world, medieval, hammered, and ancient coins, books, as well as stamps.

Make sure not to miss out, as there is limited stock availability!

£100 2015, Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben), Heartbeat of the Nation. Two ounce fine silver issue.

We just bought 10 of these sought after £100 fine silver coins that were issued in 2015. They were a series of London Landmarks featuring The Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben), Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square. This is the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) coin in Specimen Brilliant Uncirculated and comes in the original Royal Mint presentation pack but we only have 10 available and in the past when we have offered them they have always sold out quickly. They also have fairly low mintages, and went under the radar of a lot of collectors.

2008 One Pound Last Royal Arms Silver Proof_obv

2008 One Pound Last Royal Arms Silver Proof

In 2008, the Royal Mint introduced new reverse designs on our coinage. One of the designs being replaced was that of the Royal Arms of the United Kingdom which had been a feature on the One Pound coin since its introduction in 1983. To mark the final use of this design on the One Pound coin, the Royal Mint struck some in silver proof and it is these special coins that we offer you here, but we have a limited number available.

Australia, Charles III, 1 Dollar 2024, 1 Ounce Kangaroo_obv

Australia, Charles III, 1 Dollar 2024, 1 Ounce Kangaroo

The Perth Mint began minting the 1oz Silver Kangaroo coin in 2016 so this is a fairly new series but one which has proved very popular with collectors. The 2024 issue is the first to carry the new portrait of King Charles III with the denomination below. The reverse features the classic bounding red kangaroo, surrounded by rays of sunlight. The design also incorporates the P125 mint mark celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint alongside a special security feature to prevent counterfeiting which is in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter ‘A’ only detectable under a magnifying glass, see if you can find it!

Australia, Charles III, 1 Dollar 2024, Kookaburra 1 Ounce .999 Silver_obv

Australia, Charles III, 1 Dollar 2024, Kookaburra 1 Ounce .999 Silver

This is the first of the classic Kookaburra series bearing the portrait of Charles III. It also coincides with the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint so the coin carries a special P125 mint mark to celebrate this. In addition, this coin has a mintage of 500,000 which, for a country the size of Australia with a population of 26 million, that doesn’t leave a lot for export so we were lucky to get our allocation of this coin. The Australian Silver Kookaburra series from The Perth Mint began in 1990 and the design on the reverse of these coins changes yearly, this time featuring a kookaburra in fl ight, clutching a snake in its talons. The coin is struck with a frosted background fi nish which really highlights the details on the coin. Get your while stocks last…
