1922 George V Silver Florin_obv

1922 George V Silver Florin

As most collectors know, the Florin is the most difficult denomination to find. I guess that is because they only started to make silver florins in 1849. I have listed all the 500 fine Silver George V Florins that we have in stock, some are in very limited quantities, and they did not make a Florin in 1927 for circulation. The coins are in selected circulated condition.

1964 Canadian Silver Dollar Uncirculated_obv

1964 Canadian Silver Dollar Uncirculated

We were looking at the Royal Mint website the other day and saw that they were offering Canadian Silver Dollars, but they were not quoting condition just their selling prices. This is a little strange as with collecting condition can be so important. So I compared our prices on the 1964 Canadian Silver Dollars that the Mint was selling, without their telling you what grade they are supplying. We are offering the 1964 Canadian Silver Dollars in Brilliant Uncirculated condition for just £32.50. But the Royal Mint were asking £45.00 for a Canadian Silver Dollar. We are charging £12.50 less per coin and we sell you Uncirculated coins. You make the choice, but I know which one saves you almost 25% and guarantees you the grade…

1968 5p & 10p Channel Islands & UK Set (6 coins)

In 1971 the Channel Islands adopted the new decimal pound as its currency, but preparation for the changeover began long before. The first 5 and 10 new pence coins were struck as early as 1968 as they had the same size and composition as the old shilling and florin. Now we can off er you a set of four coins consisting of the 5 and 10 new pence for circulation on the islands of Jersey and Guernsey, and for good measure we have added the same 2 coins from the same year for the United Kingdom, and all in Uncirculated condition.

Charles III George & Dragon Silver 1 Ounce

Charles III George & Dragon Silver 1 Ounce

This new 1 ounce 999 fine silver coin is the first in a series of coins that will explore the legend of St George. The depiction of St George and the Dragon has long been a tradition on British coinage, with Benedetto Pistrucci’s interpretation on the gold sovereign coin being the most well known. The legend of St George slaying the dragon symbolises victory of good over evil, courage in the face of danger, and protection of the realm, ideals which solidify St George’s importance as a figure of national pride. The obverse of the coin bears the uncrowned portrait of King Charles III designed by sculptor Martin Jennings, along with the coin’s monetary denomination of 2 pounds. The reverse of the coin features a dramatic modern interpretation of the St George design by Jody Clark which is set upon a textured background. The design is surrounded by a border of words detailing the coin’s year, weight and fineness and the date of 2024 also appears in the exergue beneath the design. A striking new design and the first of a new series.

Constantine II, Centenionalis Mint State_obv

Constantine II, Centenionalis 'Cent' Mint State

Constantine II was the eldest son of Constantine the Great, he was Roman Emperor from 337 until his death in 340 AD. After his father’s death, the empire was divided among Constantine II and his brothers, Constantius II and Constans. Constantine II ruled over Gaul, Britannia, and Hispania. His reign was marked by tensions with his brothers, culminating in a failed attempt to assert dominance over Constans’ territories. In 340 AD, Constantine II invaded Italy but was ambushed and killed near Aquileia. His rule was relatively short and tumultuous, overshadowed by the internal strife that characterised the early years of the post-Constantinian empire. Here we are offering his Follis in mint state, a grade which a very difficult grade to find when it comes to 4th century coinage. You can see every bit of detail on these beautiful coins.
