King Edward I ruled from 1272-1307 and the largest coin in use at the time was the Silver Penny. They were struck at several different mints around the country but mostly in London and Canterbury. They have the facing portrait of Edward I and, on the other side, a long cross design with the name of the mint where the coin was struck. A real antique silver British coin now over 715 years old but available in limited numbers. Comes with a certificate of authenticity!

We have obtained some early strikes in Choice Brilliant Uncirculated condition of the 2022 Silver Britiannia. Each £2 coin contains an ounce of 999 fine silver and is one of the first struck from new fresh dies. In America they charge extra for first strikes, we do NOT charge anything extra for early strikes.

For some reason the Royal Mint is issuing the 2023 Silver Britannia with the Queen’s portrait on them! IWe were wrong when we said that the 2022 would be the last Queen Elizabeth II issue. My guess is they were struck before she died, we also understand that a King Charles Silver Britannia will be struck later in the year. But surprise, surprise not only was the 2023 Silver Britannia struck with the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, but we have them in stock ready to be sent out now!
