This silver £2 of 2023 was issued to honour the Coronation of King Charles III. From what we understand the Mint has long ago sold out, in fact, we had to pay a little extra and search all around to get an allocation. But we believe it was worth it and you will love it! On the obverse you have the bust of King Charles III wearing his crown, only the Coronation issues will feature this bust. The reverse has his crowned cypher ‘CR III’. The coin is in choice brilliant uncirculated condition and contains one ounce of pure silver. We believe that this will become a much-wanted and difficult coin to obtain. We have them for now, but how much longer…?
The new 2023 Silver Britannia has carried on the Coronation theme, in that it will be the only Silver Britannia to carry the King’s bust wearing his crown. The Mint has improved the design by using the cross-hatch field to make the portrait stand out even more. From what we have been told the Mint quickly sold out of all the pieces they were going to strike and it is no longer available from them. We had to use a different supply to obtain ours. They are superb Brilliant Uncirculated pieces and we are sure that you will love them. Remember this is a very important one-year type coin.
We have just had our order in from the Royal Mint, we were one of the first to order so the coins we received were early strike Gem Uncirculated coins. Each Silver Britannia contains one ounce of pure Silver and has a nominal face value of £2. These are the first of a whole new series and you really should have one or more in your collection. Beautiful early strikes of the New King Charles III Silver Britannia, priced at £58.50. The King is bare-headed and his name is in English and not in Latin. We can also offer the last Queen Elizabeth II Silver Britannia in (2023) Choice uncirculated, not an easy coin to find…
Yes, we have the 2024 coins in 2023. The King Charles III Silver Britannia coins are choice uncirculated early strikes. The sort of coin which they charge extra for in the United States. But Coincraft – Britain’s Coin Shop does not charge any extra for early choice uncirculated examples, even if they are a year early. Our wholesaler did a great job of not only getting them before they were dated but choice brilliant uncirculated examples. We are offering them per one, per five, and per roll of 20 coins. Each contains one ounce of pure silver and as nice as you can get them. What wonderful holiday gifts they would make for the 2023 season, a silver coin dated 2024!
This is the first ever King Charles III Gold Sovereign depicting the King wearing a crown. We also understand that it will be the only one, the next issue will be different, in that the King will not be wearing a crown. This is a very important type of coin and one you should have in your collection. The mintage is just 15,000 coins and the Royal Mint has announced that the coin has now SOLD OUT! We got in early, but even the small number we were allocated has almost run out. Our coins are Choice Proofs in the original Royal Mint packaging and they are the first King Charles III Gold Sovereign to be struck. Prices have already gone up and, as collectors realise that they need this coin for their collections, they are likely to go up even more. We do not sell anything as an investment but we think this a good coin.
King Edward I ruled from 1272-1307 and the largest coin in use at the time was the Silver Penny. They were struck at several different mints around the country but mostly in London and Canterbury. They have the facing portrait of Edward I and, on the other side, a long cross design with the name of the mint where the coin was struck. A real antique silver British coin now over 715 years old but available in limited numbers. Comes with a certificate of authenticity!
