Acomplete set of the notes issued over 20 years ago by Zambia between 1980 and 1988. The colourful set comprises the 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 kwacha (P23-8) All our notes feature a portrait of Kenneth Kaunda. Zambia achieved independence in 1964 and Kenneth Kaunda served as its first President from 1964 until 1991. His portrait on the fronts appears alongside a view of the fish eagle, the national bird of Zambia. Illustrations on the backs include a dam, buildings, the cotton harvest and fields of maize.
