St. Helena, 50 pence (Queen's 75th Birthday Commemorative) 2001

We say this coin is Rare because you don’t often see it offered for sale. We were lucky enough to obtain 33 pieces in choice Proof condition. It was issued in 2001 for Her Majesty the Queen’s 75th birthday 1926-2001. You have a portrait of the Queen on both the obverse and the reverse, so if you use this coin for gambling, it is my advice to always call ‘Heads’. It has a face value of 50 Pence and is struck in Proof Sterling Silver and is one you almost never see. Remember we were able to only obtain 33 coins and we believe we will have more collectors than that who will want one…

St. Helena, Charles III, £1 2024 One Ounce Athenian Owl

The 2024 St Helena Athenian Owl 1oz .999 Silver Coin depicts a majestic owl perched on a tree branch, against a backdrop featuring a crescent moon, olive branch of peace, and the letters ‘AOE’ meaning ‘of the Athenians’. The obverse bears the portrait of King Charles III, the coin’s weight and fineness, 2024 date, and the denomination of £1. The reverse design honours the classical ancient Athenian Tetradrachm which was the most influential coin in the world at the time. The owl symbolises strength, wealth, wisdom, and insight. In ancient Greek mythology, the goddess Athena kept an owl on her shoulder that revealed truths to her, representing wisdom and knowledge.

St. Thomas & Prince Scarce Crown

In 1985St. Thomas & Prince issued a cupro-nickel crown or 100 Dobras to honour their 10th anniversary of Independence. It is a small and fascinating island, however, getting coins or banknotes from there is almost impossible. Two banknote dealers who went there were put in jail accused of money laundering. So this Crown is even more interesting and important. I think it is the first crown we have had from St. Thomas & Prince. You have an outline picture of the island on one side and the coat of arms on the reverse with two birds holding it up. A most unusual and difficult crown to find, in fact, most of this country's coins are difficult to obtain...

St. Thomas & Prince, Rare Olympic Roll 12 Crowns

The Democratic Republic of St. Thomas and Prince issued some of the rarest Olympic Crowns ever struck. They were made in 1993 for the Atlanta Olympics, they were struck in Proof cupro-nickel and while the mintages are unknown, you almost never see these coins for sale. We have obtained a very limited number of the set of 12 different Crowns. The sports represented are: wrestling, soccer, boxing, cycling, karate, running, field hockey, track & field, surfing, swimming, gymnastics and tennis. Many of these sports have not been represented on Olympic coins before. We offer the complete collection of 12 Proof Olympic Crowns for just £95, which we think is quite a bargain. Once they are gone, they are gone.
