Victoria, Threepence (Jubilee Head) VG

The Half Crown of Queen Victoria with the Old Head design is the second-largest denomination in silver to be struck with this bust of the Queen. You have the bust of Queen Victoria her widow’s dress and a crowned shield on the reverse. They are struck in Sterling Silver and were only issued from 1893-1901. A nice large Sterling Silver coin in Very Good condition and each one is at least 117 years old. We think you will love this coin, we already do.

In our opinion, the Old Head or Widow Head but of Queen Victoria is the most underappreciated of the three different busts made during her reign. Here we offer the Old Head Threepence in VG. Dates will be of our choice.

Victoria came to the throne a very young woman, she was only 18 when she became Queen. Her first coins carried a very youthful portrait of Queen Victoria a portrait carried on for the next 50 years. The Shilling was struck in Sterling Silver and because they were used every day, they come well-circulated. We offer them here in Fair conditio; remember that the newest coin is now 130 years old.
