Victoria, Crown (Jubilee Head) 1887 Unc

John Tanner designed this rather fabulous Hanoverian depiction of King George II. We have a small group of these impressive shillings in Extremely Fine grade, they’re dated 1758. The obverse features Tanner’s portrait of the King, the reverse features crowned cruciform shields with the central Garter star, with the date 1758 divided above. These fabulous shillings are 265 years old and getting rare in this grade, stocks are limited.

A few months ago, we offered these wonderful William IV Groats in Uncirculated condition, unfortunately they quickly sold out, so we’re pleased to offer you a selection of less expensive ones in appealing “Extremely Fine” grade. Get in quickly, coins of William IV are very popular as it was only a short reign (1830-1837) and Groats were only struck in 1836 and 1837.

The 1928 penny, part of the George V coinage, is a notable piece of British numismatic history. They were struck during the interwar period, a time of economic and social change in Britain. While common in circulated condition, uncirculated examples are difficult to find. We have a group of these pennies, all Uncirculated but with different amounts of lustre. The “Uncirculated” examples have traces of lustre. 96 years old and in excellent condition, add one of these interesting pennies to your collection.
