1939-1945 Star, World War II Medal_obv

1939-1945 Star, World War II Medal

At the end of World War II the Government awarded what is known as the 1939-1945 Star. You had to serve either 180 days of operational service or 60 days of operational flying to qualify to get this award. It is a star with cipher of King George VI in the middle and the legend 1939-1945 Star below. It has a light blue, red and dark blue ribbon and today is over 70 years old. We bought a nice group of these and are proud to be able to offer them to you. These were men and women who put their life on the line to make sure that you and I could live a free life. They are original and genuine and are now over 70 years old.

Burma Star, World War II Medal

Of the eight different campaign stars awarded during the Second World War two of the scarcer issues are the Pacific Star and the Burma Star. We are able to offer a small quantity of The Burma Star, which was awarded for operational service in the Burma campaign and in Bengal or Assam, broadly from 1941 to early 1944. We have just seven of these scarce campaign stars with the appropriate ribbon available, so don't miss out!
