Sri Lanka 1000 Rupees 2009 P122 Commmemorative Unc

This 100 rupee note was issued by Sri Lanka in 2009. The country was celebrating One Country, One Nation in harmony progressing towards prosperity’ (P122) after the military defeat of the Tamil Tigers and so the end of the civil war. This idea of peace and prosperity has been somewhat shattered in recent times. President Mahinda Rajapaksa is on the front, arms outstretched. On the back a tribute to the contribution made by the security forces and the police. Uncirculated.
