Austria, Maria Theresa Thaler (Re-strike) Brilliant Unc

Considered by many to be one of the most beautiful coins ever struck. It was struck at the Austrian Mint from 1780 until now. The fact is they still strike them today with the 1780 date on them. They are large silver coins that contain about 3/4 of an ounce of pure silver and they are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. We have not had these for years, but a lucky buy has put them back into stock.

Genghis Khan Coin Package Grade 2

These are original and genuine copper coins of Genghis Khan 1162-1227. They came in our unique full colour information folder. There is an elephant on one side and arabic writing on the other side. We normally sell them for £14.95, especially considering their age and packaging. Phil took a look our stock and said, ‘while all of the coins are real, some of them are just too worn or off centre to sell for our normal price!’. OK Phil talked and Richard eventually listened, here is the story… These are the original Genghis Khan coins, in the full colour package, but the coin will have seen considerable wear, so we will call them grade 2. We don’t know how many we have. We will let Phil sort them properly. But our price on grade 2 Genghis Khan coins is not £14.95 but only £6.95 while they last. The make great holiday gifts, think of the age...

South Africa, 2020 Silver Krugerrand BU

Because of the pandemic, mints all over the world had to reduce production and thus the number of coins they issued. The first coins to be cut were the silver bullion coins and South Africa was no exception. At one point dealers wanted £45 each for a 2020 South Africa silver Kruger plus VAT from us! We did what any smart company would do, we said NO. We would wait till the price became more realistic. Now it has! These Brilliant Uncirculated coins which contain one ounce of pure silver, could well end up being the key date of the series. We have them at what we think is a fair price and a warning they could well turn out to be a key date. Supplies are very limited.

St. Helena, 2013 25 Pence (St. George Crown)

The tiny island of St. Helena, where Napoleon died, has honoured St. George slaying the dragon, with a beautiful Sterling Silver Proof crown. This was originally designed by Pistrucci for the new coinage of George III in 1818. It is still being used on our Gold Sovereigns today. They issued a crownsized 25 Pence in 2013 with H. M. Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and St. George slaying the dragon on the reverse. To make it even more impressive they have highlighted the Sterling Silver Proof St. George and the dragon crown, in gold. Each choice Proof coin comes in a protective capsule. But supplies are very limited on a Rare and most impressive coin. I think the price is also impressive. Today the mints would charge about £80-£85 for this coin, but NOT Coincraft. We bought them right, we sell them right.

United States of America, Death of President Kennedy 1963-2013 50th Anniversary Set

In November 1963 President John F. Kennedy was killed in Dallas, Texas. Most of us who are old enough to have been alive at the time remember exactly where we were when we first heard of the killing. Coincraft have issued a unique memento of this man and of his successes. We have kept the price very low in order to make this set accessible to as many collectors as possible. This set is to honour a great man and not to make a lot of money. This collection is only available from Coincraft and it makes an excellent gift to people who remember Kennedy and coin collectors all over the world. There are two unique Kennedy Half Dollars, both legal tender and both capable of being used as real money, rather than the non-circulating legal tender coins that most mints issue today. The first is a one-year type coin issued for America’s bi-centennial and it is in Proof condition, the finest quality available. The second coin is dated 2013 and was issued to honour the 50th anniversary of his death. The collection also includes a United States Kennedy stamp that has actually been used. The package includes details about what Kennedy did, such as founding the Peace Corps, launching the Moon race and fighting for civil rights. There is also a fascinating list of the similarities between the killing of Kennedy and President Lincoln. The collection is priced at just £18.95 and is priced to be given as a gift.
