Sir Francis Chichester 1967 World Voyage 1/9 Stamp

In 1966 Sir Francis Chichester set off from Plymouth in the Gipsy Moth IV to try and single handedly circumnavigate the globe. 226 days later having made just one stop, in Sydney, he completed the single handed circumnavigation of the globe. Despite his poor health he made it and in record time. The Post Office honoured him and his historic deed with the issue of one stamp, at that time living people did not usually go on to stamps. But that one stamp had a face value of One Shilling and Nine Pence, a lot of money at the time. We can offer you a group of five Mint unused Sir Francis Chichester Stamps for just £3.50. They are now 52 years old. You get all five stamps in Mint condition for just £3.50.
