Silvertowne Mint USA Buffalo / Native Indian Silver 1/10 Round

Just in from the Silvertowne Mint in Indiana, USA, is this 1/10 ounce 9999 fine silver round which pays tribute to the famous ‘Buffalo’ Nickel coin which was struck between 1913 and 1938, although curiously, the animal on the coin is actually a bison! The original coins are also referred to as the ‘Indian Head’ Nickel but these days we use the term ‘Native American’. The combination of the two designs made this coin one of the most striking and popular designs on American coinage. These are beautiful frosted proof-like Brilliant Uncirculated silver rounds but we only have 100 available.

United States of America, Barber Dime

Charles Barber was the Chief Engraver at the Philadelphia Mint in the United States. But he was also British and most collectors don’t know that. He designed many coins from the Dime (10c) to the Half Dollar. His coins circulated from 1892 to 1916, when the designs were replaced with others. We have always found that the smallest denomination, the Dime or 10 Cents is difficult to get hold of. The coins have the bust of Liberty on one side and the denomination on the other side. They are struck in 900 fine Silver and the coins on offer are in Very Good condition, especially considering that they are over 100 years old. If you have bought the other denominations, you will certainly want to add this denomination to your collection, but supplies are limited.

United States of America, WW2 Walking Liberty Half Dollar

In 1916 a new Half Dollar coin was issued, it was engraved by Adolph A. Weinman and this design continued to be struck until 1947. On one side you have Liberty walking with the wind blowing the drapes of her dress. On the other side, you have American Bald Eagle wings spread, almost looking like she is walking too. It is no wonder that these coins are called the Walking Liberty Half Dollars. The coins on offer are mostly from the 1940s and are in Fine or better condition. The Silver Eagle design is based on this coin, but the engraver of this Half Dollar was much better. Nice coins and now about 70 years old and getting more and more difficult to find.
