These Crisp Uncirculated £5 notes were issued 24 years ago in 1999 (P352c) The front features the portrait of Lord Ilay, First Governor of the Bank. The back has a rendition of Culzean Castle. It was signed by George R Mathewson as Chief Financial Officer and turned out to be a one year type with this signature/title combination.
