We have been able to obtain the remaining part of the hoard of 1926 Provincial Bank of Ireland Pound Notes. All are Uncirculated and are cancelled with two holes.(P)
These notes were issued for payment in Dublin but when Ireland and Northern Ireland split, the bank had to change their notes to being payable in Belfast. So all existing notes had to be cancelled with two holes, even though they were in Uncirculated condition. They are almost 100 years old and just beautiful.
