Poland, 1 Grosz 1949 Choice BU

These 1 Grosz coins from Poland were minted in 1949 and were the first issue struck in aluminium at a time when many European countries, financially strained by World War II, trialled the use of aluminium for their coinage as it was much cheaper than copper or steel. These are in Choice Brilliant Uncirculated condition as good as the day there were struck, 74 years ago!
