The last £1 notes issued by the Northern Bank in Northern Ireland are dated in the 1970’s. The denomination was finally discontinued in the late 1980’s. The design is quite simple with vignettes of cattle, the dockyards and a textile factory. The symbol of The Midlands Bank (which owned the Northern Bank at the time) is on the back. We offer Crisp Uncirculated examples of the last issued pounds dated 1978.
