Crisp Uncirculated examples of the £20 issued by the Isle of Man and signed by Shimmin as Chief Financial Officer.(P49) A portrait of Queen Elizabeth II appears on the front with a triskeles at the centre.The back features the famous Laxey Wheel, the largest surviving original waterwheel in the world, built in 1854 to pump water from the Glen Mooar part of the Great Laxey Mines. Crisp Uncirculated.

Another value from the new series of polymer notes not long released by Jamaica. This time it is the blue 100 dollars (P-New) The front has the portrait of Marcus Garvey,a political activist famous for founding and leading the Universal Negro Improvement Association and the African Communities League through which he declared himself Provisional President of Africa. The back has a view of the famous terraced Dunn’s River Falls near Ocho Rios. Uncirculated.

What a set we have for you this issue! It’s the complete denomination set issued by Lebanon between 2016 and 2021 .All the notes are in Uncirculated condition!. (P-New) Included in this 6 note set are the 1000, 5000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000 and 100,000 values The designs are very modern with extra illustrations of a Lebanese Cedar Tree, a monument and plants and fruits. The Lebanese economy has collapsed in recent times which means we can offer this denomination set for a very reasonable price! It’s a wonderful set and the price even more so. We offer a wonderful set of 7 different notes issued in the 1990s in Myanmar, a country we used to know as Burma. The denominations range from the humble 50 pyas all the way up to the 100 kyats (P68-74)/ The front of the 50 pyas features a Burmese harp while the fronts of the other denominations are dominated by a snarling squatting Chintze dog. Vignettes on the backs include a boat race, an ornate elephant fountain, temples and a brass worker. Uncirculated.

In 1970, the Belfast Banking Company was absorbed by the Northern Bank. It was decided a new series of notes was called for. Each denomination was a different colour with a common design of vignettes representing agriculture, shipping and linen manufacture. As you would expect, the notes were produced both as regular notes and as Specimens. What was unusual about the £1 note issue, however, was that a small number of Specimen £1 notes were overprinted Specimen -For Training Purposes Only Non-Negotiable in red on both sides of the notes. This was no doubt to enable staff to get used to the new notes before they were issued to the public (P187a/NR87). We recently came across some of these special Training Notes in Crisp Uncirculated condition. It’s been many, many years since we have had more than one to offer to our collectors. This note catalogues £60 in Uncirculated in the Paper Money of Ireland Catalogue. While stocks last, it is available.

Pakistan celebrated another 75th Anniversary this year by issuing a banknote. This time the 75 rupees is to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the founding of the National Bank (P-New) .The front has a portrait of Mohammed Jinnah, considered the founding father of Pakistan. The back has a portrait of his sister Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah who was his closest confidant. Crisp Uncirculated.
