These £1 notes issued by the Royal Bank of Scotland in 1943 are now 70 years old and they are in spectacular condition grading a Crisp A Unc condition .(P322) They are signed by T Brown as the Chief Accountant with the 1st of March 1943 being the fi rst date his signature appeared on this £1 note design. All our notes have the very first prefix for this variety H/1 which along with their condition makes this little group even more special. They catalogue £90 each in EF condition in the current Scottish catalogue but these are A Unc! An opportunity to add a wartime Scottish £1 note in spectacular condition to your collection.

In 2018 South Korea hosted the Winter Olympic Games. This handsome 2000 won note was issued to commemorate the event. On the front, a pair of speed skaters in action with background vignettes from other sports such as ice hockey, biathlon, luge, bobsled, curling and ski jumping. A colourful snowflake hologram also appears. On the back a reference to Songhamaenghodo, an 18th century painting by Kim Hong-Do of a tiger. Uncirculated.

We can offer uncirculated examples of the first 1 dollar notes issued by Singapore. The 1 dollar note is no longer issued as a denomination in Singapore having been replaced by a coin. This was issued in 1972(P1) The front has the arms of Singapore to the right and a spray of orchids at the centre/ Apartment blocks adorn the back.

In the last few years, the Lebanese economy has collapsed and along with it the currency. In December 2020, before its current troubles, Lebanon issued a brand new 100,000 livres note to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the foundation of Lebanon (P99). It was printed on polymer in Poland and was the first note in the world to use the Cinema and Vivid security feature. This produces a 3D effect in the archway to the entrance of the Saint Jean de Tbeil Church which appears to the left on the front of the note. The Clock Tower in Nejmeh Square in Beirut is at the centre. On the back, we find the natural arches of Pigeon Rock viewed from the Rauche Corniche in Beirut and a Phoenician boat alongside French text.

In 2021, Ukraine celebrated 30 years of independence. Just a few months later, the country was plunged into a war for its survival. Part of the celebrations for the 30th Anniversary included overprinting just 30,000 notes of each denomination with the anniversary logo. From this very limited series, we offer Crisp Uncirculated 500 hryven notes (P-New) The front features the portrait of poet, philosopher, writer and musician Hryhoril Skovoroda with a view of the Mohyla Academy Building in Kyiv on the back.
