Indian Sainya Seva Medal with Clasp_obv

Indian Sainya Seva Medal with Clasp

Instituted on 26 January 1960 by the Government of India, it was awarded to the Indian Armed Forces in recognition of non-operational service under conditions of hardship and severe climate in specified areas. The medals were all named to the recipient on the rim and were awarded together with a clasp on which is inscribed the place where the service was rendered. There are seven different clasps as follows: Jammu and Kashmir, NorthEast Frontier Agency (NEFA), Himalaya, Bengal-Assam, Andaman and Nicobar, Marusthal and the 6 Year Sea Service clasp. The medal is struck in cupro-nickel and hangs from a suspension bar, to which the clasps are mounted. The obverse depicts Nanda Devi, the second highest mountain in India, with bamboo in the foreground. The reverse depicts one of the gates of Purana Qila, one of the oldest forts in Delhi. Above is inscribed the words Sainya Seva Medal in Hindi script. The ribbon of the medal is saffron in colour with single vertical stripes of white and dark green. Each medal comes with a card to say who it was awarded to and the regiment in which they served and also the identification of the clasp for the theatre of service.

Picture of Italy, World War II Star Medal

Italy, World War II Star Medal

This is a World War II award for service personnel serving in Italy between the 11th of June 1943 and May 1945. You had to serve at least six months in order to qualify for the Italy Star. It is made of brass and has a red, white and green ribbon and has the crowned cipher of King George VI. These are originals and NOT reproductions. They were actually handed out to our brave individuals after the Second World War. Very emotive and complete with the red, white and green ribbon. It has been quite some time since we were last able to offer this World War II gallantry award. Supplies are definitely limited.

Pearl Harbor 80th Anniversary Medal Set_Main

Pearl Harbor 80th Anniversary Medal Set

We have just had these sets come in which were made to mark the remembrance of the 80th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor. They were made a few years ago but we have only just managed to get them. There are five medals in the set which come in a nice presentation case, they each have The USS Arizona Memorial on one side with the text USS ARIZONA BB-39. This memorial is built across the ship’s remains which lies at the bottom of Pearl Harbor, and is dedicated to the 1,177 officers and crewmen who perished on that day. The other side of each medal carries a scene from the Pearl Harbor attack on 7 December 1941.

Unique Prince Charles Investiture Collection

Prince Charles Investiture Collection - 2 Medals, 5 Stamps & First Day Cover

In 1969 Prince Charles was invested by his Mother Queen Elizabeth II as Prince of Wales. We know because it was the first Royal medallion that Richard (our founder) ever issued. Now of course he is King Charles III. We looked around to see what we could find to honour our new King and found some of these Investiture medallions from 1969. We were also able to find some sets of 5 different mint unused stamps as issued by the Post Office and to top it off some First Day Covers with those same stamps but cancelled on a special cover on the first day of issue. We have made up a unique Prince Charles Investiture Collection. You get two (2) of our Investiture medallions one silver-plated and one gold-plated in a handsome presentation case. You get the set of 5 Investiture stamps in mint unused condition and you also get those same stamps on a First Day Cover. Unlike some of the things that will be issued next year at what we think may be crazy prices, our collection is over 50 years old and priced to please you. You get the medallions, the mint stamps and the First Day Cover all for only £18.95. At this price, they make excellent gifts and they honour our new Monarch without breaking the bank!

Set of 11 Different Pakistan Medals_obv

Set of 11 Different Pakistan Medals

We have offered some medals from Pakistan in the past but there has never been such a good deal as this one! We have taken delivery of some new stock and the supplier had made up some sets of 11 different Pakistan medals. It seemed a shame to break them up as they are all neatly packaged and labelled a ready-made collection. We normally sell these medals individually for between £12.50 and £18.95 so our price of £98.50 for 11 different medals (less than £9 each) makes these sets very popular indeed. You could hardly make the medals for that price these days. Get in quickly as there is limited availability of these sets at such a great price. The set consists of the following 11 medals, all come with their ribbons, are in a plastic envelope and labelled as to what they are. The ribbons alone make a very colourful display.
