Mexico 1986 World Cup Commemoratives

With the 2026 World Cup edging closer, we thought it was a good time to offer some items we have in stock commemorating a previous World Cup. Not just any World Cup though, these are FIFA-endorsed items from the 1986 World Cup held in Mexico in 1986, the year of the infamous Maradona ‘Hand of God’ incident which eliminated England from the World Cup at the quarter-final stage. We have four items for you in this special pack, two of which are signed by England players who were in the squad, Bryan Robson (England's Captain in 86) and Kerry Dixon. The other two items are Maxi-Cards featuring Ray Wilkins and Andoni Goikoetxea the famous Spanish defender otherwise known as ‘The Butcher of Bilbao’ on account of his aggressive style of play. In fact, on 24 September 1983, Goikoetxea achieved notoriety for a foul on Diego Maradona described as "one of the most brutal fouls ever delivered in the history of Spanish football" which broke Maradona’s ankle! Each item has a stamp from St Vincent and is postmarked on the first day is issue, 7 May 1986.
