Ireland, 1968 Mint Set

One of our contacts found a hoard of 1968 Irish pre-Euro Mint Sets. Most of them went back to Ireland and the rest we were allowed to buy. The set comes in a green card holder inside a vinyl wallet. It contains Irish pre-euro coins in Uncirculated condition, but over the past 50 years the coins have mellowed a little. This 1968 Mint Set contains the 1d, 3d, 6d, Shilling and Florin. 1968 is an important set, it is the closest to the changeover to Euro coins. The set comes in a wallet and the coins are Uncirculated but may have mellowed over the years.

Edward VII, Silver Threepence

We just bought a large collection of King Edward VII Silver Threepences, the smallest silver coin issued by this Monarch for general usage. We have not checked the dates, but they were issued from 1902-1910. They were stuck in Sterling Silver and are well over 100 years old. We are not going to be sorting them, but just taking them out of the sack as they come. They are in Very Good or better condition and we know they are not easy to get. Everything before King George V is difficult to find, maybe it is because they are so old and struck in Sterling Silver. We offer individual coins here - if you order more than one you will get different dates: we won’t guarantee which dates you will get, but that they will be different. Great coins, the King only had coins for ten years and they are all over 100 years old…

Picture of Edward VII, Halfcrown Very Good

Edward VII, Halfcrown Very Good

Edward VII had a very short reign, 1901-1910, because his Mother, Queen Victoria, lived so long. Much of his coinage is difficult to get and in some cases rather expensive. All of his silver coins were struck in Sterling Silver and a crown was only issued in 1902 for his Coronation. So we offer the Sterling Silver Halfcrown, the largest denomination silver coin stuck for regular usage. It has the bare head of the King on one side and a beautiful crowned shield on the other side. Dates will be of our choice, but no rare dates are included. Available here in Very Good condition.

Picture of Floating Display Case

Floating Display Case

We bought these some time ago, but due to lack of space, we asked the dealer we bought them from to store them for us. He recently asked if we still wanted them? As we had already paid for them, we said yes and now you can own one of these fantastic display pieces at a lot less than is being asked elsewhere. You can take one or more coins or any other collectable, put it in this frame and it will appear to be floating in space. When we first saw it, it blew us away. This is the answer to displaying your coins or other collectables without damaging them. Using it is quite simple: you open the case, position your items where you want them, close the case and there they are – floating in space. If you want to replace the items, all you have to do is open the case, take the items out and replace them with a new coin. These were originally made to sell for £19.95, but the manufacturer never got around to advertising them. We bought them right, as is our plan, if we buy right we sell right. The outer case measures 13 x13 cm and the inner surface measures 10 x10 cm. Once you have seen one you will want to buy some. Remember, they are not just for coins you can display stamps, buttons, curios just about anything that you want.
