In 2002 H. M. Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her Golden Jubilee on the throne 1952-2002. A number of countries issued coins to honour the event and here we offer the Golden Jubilee Cover with Crown of Gibraltar feeding the apes, with 2 stamps of British Virgin Islands FDC. The special stamps attached were cancelled on the First Day of Issue (FDC).
It is now some 17 years since H. M. the Queen celebrated her 50th anniversary of being our Monarch. It was celebrated with this handsome First Day Cover and Crown and now you can add one to your collection. The cover shows the Queen in bright pink coat. The coin shows the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. The crown is from one of her most remote territories, Sierra Leone. The crown is struck in Proof cupro-nickel. I don’t know what the original issue price was, but I think that our price of just £9.50 is very reasonable considering that this crown and cover is now 17 years old.
In 2002 the British Post Offi ce issued a Special Souvenir Sheet for the Golden Jubilee of H. M. Queen Elizabeth II. On it was a photo of a brass threepence. This souvenir sheet catalogues £15.00 in used condition. But the ones we have on off er are on a large cover and cancelled on the First Day of Issue (FDC). There is a hole where the brass threepence goes and on the cover we saw the coin was literally cellotaped on to the cover. We just could not force ourselves to ruin the cover and the coin. So we are giving you the FDC cover with the Souvenir Sheet that catalogues £15.00 plus a 1967 Brass Threepence in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. What you do with the two items, is up to you. Our price for the First Day Cover and Brilliant Uncirculated Brass Threepence is just £7.95 which is about half the catalogue value of used stamps on their own. At Coincraft when we make a good buy, our collectors make a good buy.

This huge CrownCover was issued in 2002 to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee 1952- 2002. You have a huge cover from Liberia with two $35.00 stamps and a double full colour photo of the Queen. It is in Prooflike Uncirculated condition and all in all it is a rather handsome presentation. Issued by Mercury some 18 years ago and our supply is very small, so if you want one, please get in quickly!
The Golden Jubilee was celebrated with a £5 note (B362) The front followed the usual design for the bank with a portrait of Lord Ilay, first Governor of the bank. The prefix was changed to TQGJ (The Queen’s Golden Jubilee) and a gold crown motif was added to the front left. The back shows the Queen as a young woman and then as she was in 2002 when the note was issued. All in all, a lovely design and popular with collectors.
