George III, Wales Patina Silver
This Wales crownsized Patina retro-pattern is based on the portrait of King George III that the Bank of England used on their emergency coinage in the early 1800’s. In fact I think this portrait is as good as that one. These Patina pieces are struck in Proof Sterling Silver. I don’t know what the mintages are, but I believe they are rather small. We bought this lot just recently from a dealer, but we don’t know where he got them from. You have the bust of King George III on one side and the symbol of which country it represents on the reverse. All are in Proof Sterling Silver.
