2021 £2 Britannia New Design Prooflike Specimen_obv

Elizabeth II, £2 Britannia New Design 2021 Prooflike Specimen

We have only ever seen photographs of this most unusual silver Britannia. It is dated 2021 and has a stunning head of Britannia depicted as a woman of colour on the reverse, and H.M. the Queen on the obverse. It comes in a presentation box with a certificate and an information booklet. They have called it Uncirculated but we believe it is better a prooflike specimen. The mintage is a maximum of just 7,500 coins. We think it is delightful and the first time we have been able to offer it to our collectors. We have just 20 coins in stock and when they are gone, they are gone… If you collect Silver Britannias then you will want to have this coin in your collection, it is beautiful and difficult to get!!!

Elizabeth II, 20 Pence (1/10 Britannia) 2006 Silver_obv

Elizabeth II, 20 Pence (1/10 Britannia) 2006 Silver

The Britannia silver series is usually only available in Proof condition, except for the one-ounce silver. But in 2006 the Royal Mint issued the 1/10th Silver Britannia in Uncirculated condition. As far as we know, this is the only year that they issued this coin in Uncirculated condition. So it is a Very Important type coin. This is a special coin. First, because it was only issued for one year and secondly and most importantly because we can sell it for such a cheap price. Each coin is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and struck in Sterling Silver, they only ever issued this coin in Uncirculated for one year. So it is a Very Important type coin. You can have this 1/10th Britannia only issued in 2006 for just £8.95. At this price, it really is a Special Offer!

Picture of Elizabeth II, £5 (King Canute) 2017 Sterling Silver Proof

Elizabeth II, £5 (King Canute) 2017 Sterling Silver Proof

In 2017 the Royal Mint issued a special commemorative Sterling Silver Proof £5 to honour King Canute. King Canute, also known as Cnut was born in Denmark in 985 and won the throne of England in 1016. Scotland submitted to him in 1017. His later accession to the Danish throne in 1018 brought the crowns of England and Denmark together. He is perhaps best known for the rising of the tide story. He was the King who sat by the water, raised his hand and commanded the tide to stop. He did this to show his sycophantic courtiers how empty and worthless the power of a King is when compared to the power of God who commands heaven, earth, and sea. We believe The Royal Mint issued this £5 in Proof Sterling Silver coin with a beautiful, yet modern design, for £82.50 at the time. They no longer have it for sale on their website, so they probably have sold out. We have them in the complete package as issued by The Royal Mint, outer package, inner package, certificate, etc.
