United States of America, 1 Cent (Lincoln) Type Set in Snaplock Case

The Lincoln Cent first entered circulation in 1909 and was issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birth. It has endured with the same obverse design ever since, making it the longest-running coin type in U.S. history. The reverse design on the Lincoln Cent has, however, changed several times, as has the metal composition and this set combines three such types. The first is the ‘Wheat Ears’ type issued from 1909-1959, the second is the zinc-clad ‘Steel Cent’ issued during WWII and the third is the Lincoln Memorial introduced in 1959. Presented in a clear snap-lock case so you can see both sides of the coin.
