Brunei, Mint Set 1993-2009 (5 coins)

We have just had come in a new set of the coins of Papua New Guinea. They came in from a former Eastern European country. Don’t ask, I have given up trying to find out how coins end up where. I just buy and sell and supply coins to my collectors. These coins were issued between 2004 and 2014. These coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and the crownsized 1 Kina is Prooflike Brilliant Uncirculated. You get the 1, 2, 5, 10 and 20 Toea and the 1 Kina. It is a most exotic country and the coins are not easy to get out of there, as head hunters are said to still exist in the central regions. Nice coins, in beautiful condition and priced at just £8.50 for all 6 coins.

At the paper money fair in The Netherlands, we met a dealer from Sri Lanka. He had just 100 sets of their coinage with him and we bought all of them. After all, finding, let alone buying the coins of Sri Lanka is not easy at all. There are 10 different Brilliant Uncirculated coins, some odd-shaped. They are 1, 2, 5, 10, 25 & 50 Cents plus 1, 2, 5 & 10 Rupees 1988-2016. It is a very difficult set to put together, especially in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Once they are gone, they are gone...

Uruguay coins are a set you don’t often see. Uruguay, in South America, has a most interesting history. Its capital Montevideo has certainly seen better times, in fact the wealthy people have moved out to a seaside area. The problem is that their coinage is not easy to find or get out of the country. But one of our suppliers has finally done it, but I dare not tell you who managed it. We can offer a set of four brilliant uncirculated coins they are large and the largest is bimetallic. You get the $1 with an armadillo or mulita, $2 with cappincho, $5 with a nandu bird and the $10 bi-metallic with a puma.
