The 2016 Silver Britannia’s are certainly something Special. Firstly the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II has changed and she is now more mature. Also the quality of the silver being used is also different. While you still get one ounce of pure silver, they are now struck in four nines silver i.e. 999.9 and not 925 or Sterling Silver. This was done to placate the buyers in the Far East who want only pure silver coins with a pebble-dash surface. The coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
