Australia, 1927 'Canberra' Florin A.UNC

This is a denomination that you just don’t see all that often and when you do they are in Fine – Very Fine condition. We have a small group in what we will call About Uncirculated with lustre, We have seen a couple of similar coins graded Uncirculated. Coincraft is a little more conservative in our grading. This coin is Rare and so is the condition. KM445. It is a small lot and one you should not miss out on. This coin and condition is RARE.

During the reign of King George VI Canada issued five different types of 5 Cent coins, commonly known as nickels. The first type was the round one with the beaver, the second type was 1942 in tombac with the beaver, the third type was the V for Victory in tombac, the fourth was V for Victory in steel and the last was the commemorative for Nickel 1781-1951 in nickel. We can offer a collection of all five types of George VI nickels in Fine or better condition. A wonderful little set and more and more difficult to put together these days. Our agent had to make two trips to Canada to get these sets.

In 1953 Queen Elizabeth II was Crowned at her Coronation Ceremony. Only two countries in the world issued Special Coronation Crowns, two others issued crowns, but they were not special issues. New Zealand and Great Britain were the only two countries to issue Coronation Crowns. In fact it was the only Queen Elizabeth II pre-decimal crown to be issued by New Zealand. Only 250,000 were struck and today it is not easy to find. You have the uncrowned bust of Queen Elizabeth II on one side and a crowned E II R on the other side. The examples that we have on offer are in Uncirculatedcondition. You may have the British issue in your collection, but do you have the New Zealand issue in your collection?
