Elizabeth II, £10 (1st £10 Britannia) 2013 5 Oz. Sterling Silver Proof M69 Ultra Cameo - Slabbed

In 2013 the Royal Mint issued its first-ever £10 Silver Britannia, a huge 5-ounce coin. Britannia is shown wearing a Corinthian Helmet holding an owl on her knee, it is the symbol of intelligence. She is sitting on a chair holding a trident, but there is one little problem. She is dressed or partially dressed in an old-fashioned way. That means that one of her breasts has been left exposed. The Ian Rank-Broadley bust of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II is on the obverse. The first release of this large silver coin was sold to a marketing company in the United States, which had them slabbed. This preserves the coin from getting fingerprints, authenticates the coin, and grades it. They graded the coins (£10 face value) as being Proof 69 out of 70 and better yet they are Ultra Cameo, which is about as good as you can get. The quality is outstanding. In the slab it is a large and handsome presentation piece, we can see them displayed in the slab on your mantlepiece. Anyone who sees it will be impressed, how could they not? A huge beautiful Britannia in silver in an impressive display case and the price is right. Originally sold by the Royal Mint at £420.00.

7 Different WWF First Day Covers

We offered these covers more than ten years ago and we have just found a small group that was ‘misplaced’. They are the Official World Wildlife Fund First Day Covers and they were issued all over the world between 1989-1990. Each cover has a full colour drawing of one animal and that country’s stamp with the same animal. It is affixed to the cover and cancelled with a special First Day of Issue cancellation. They are beautiful First Day Covers and helped raise a lot of money to help preserve animals world-wide. Here we offer them either in packages of 7 different First Day Covers. Supplies are very limited and they are fantastic.

L K O'Brien Britannia Blue £5 B280 AU/Unc

Known by collectors as the Britannia Blue, this £5 replaced the iconic Bank of England White £5 in 1957. It is one of the most impressive designs of the whole Bank of England series. It had a very short life because, in 1960, the Bank started to introduce notes with the Queen’s portrait for the first time and this series was never completed. A helmeted Britannia is on the front and a lion holding a key is on the back. An iconic note in its own right and available now in AU/Unc.
