United States of America, 1997 Mini Set of 3 coins

In 1997 the Royal Mint and the United States Mint got together and both issued Mint Sets to their collectors. We don’t know exactly what happened, but… The Royal Mint sold their left over American Mint Sets to a foreign exchange trader on condition that they break them up. Not to sell them as Mint Sets but just as regular coins. We ended up buying 250 each of the 1997 United States 5 Cents (Jefferson), 25 Cents (Washington) and 50 Cents (Kennedy). We have always felt that they are better struck than the usual circulation coins. But they said no, well they are the best struck coins that we have seen, that were not proofs. Now many years later, We are going to give up trying to prove something we still believe in. So we are selling a mini set of 1995 5c, 25c & 50c as Choice Brilliant Uncirculated coins. They are nice and at £3.95 for the three coins, sold at a very reasonable price...

Picture of Elizabeth II, Coronation Crown Extremely Fine, 1953

Elizabeth II, Coronation Crown Extremely Fine, 1953

It is now 65 years since Princess Elizabeth became Queen Elizabeth II. I have been privileged to visit Tree Tops where they have a plaque commemorating the place that Elizabeth first became Queen. This is the first Queen Elizabeth II Crown, this is the Coronation Crown, and this is the first coin to be issued for our Monarch. It shows the Queen riding on her horse and the design was much more unusual than anything issued before it. Despite being 65 years old and the first coin of our Monarch, the prices are still very reasonable, or at least our prices are. I have seen one of the marketing companies charging £30 for one and they don’t even give you the grade. We are offering these in Extremely Fine.
