Online Newsletter January 2018

Hello and welcome to the Coincraft Newsletter

Firstly, Happy New Year!
Secondly, if you haven’t already heard, 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of Coincraft doing business in London (although we have been doing business for a total of 63 years). This year will also see the 500th issue of The Phoenix! To celebrate both of these monumental feats, throughout the year we will be offering a series of special offers pertaining to 1968.
And what a year it was; important numismatic changes, civil rights movements, space missions, Hollywood hits and much more from all around the world – you won’t want to miss any of these exclusive offers!

Special Anniversary Offer ...
1968, 10p in Brilliant Uncirculated condition CLM7605
Our first offer to celebrate Coincraft's 50th year of business in London will be one of the most interesting coins of the Decimal series! The first Decimal 10p was introduced in 1968, replacing the two shilling coin in preparation for decimalisation in 1971. It features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Arnold Machin on the obverse.
Today you get the small sized 10 Pence in your change, but you can wow your friends with this large sized coin which has not been made for over 16 years.

An Uncut Sheet of Three Bank of England £5 Notes
When the Bank of England went over from printing from a giant roll of paper, known as ‘web fed’ to printing on individual sheets, known as 'sheet fed', they decided to mark this event. They did this by issuing just 1,500 uncut sheets of three notes in a special folder. All three notes have the same serial number, but with different prefixes.
All three notes will be in the last 1500 ever printed on the web press. These £5 notes are of course paper which, considering that we have now gone over to plastic makes them more exciting to collect.
We sell things as they are made, so we offer the complete wallet with the sheet of uncut notes for just:
