New Stock February 2023 (Banknotes) Part II

This magnificent note £100 was issued by the Bank of Scotland in 2022 and printed in polymer. It features Dr Flora Murray, famous for her work as a medical pioneer and suff ragette in the early 20th century. Vignettes include stretcher bearers, an early anaesthetic device and a quote, particularly pertinent to the time she was working. You have not only to do a good job, you have to do a superior job. What would be accepted from a man, will not be accepted from a woman. You’ve got to do better. Uncirculated Bank of Scotland £100 2022 at just £170.00.

In recent times, Cuba has issued a series of higher value notes. This 500 pesos, dated 2022, features a portrait of 19th century Cuban Revolu-tionary Ignacio Agramonte.(P-New) He played an important role in the Ten Years War. He was killed in the Battle of Jimaguayu by a stray bullet at the age of just 32. On the back, we find a view of the Meeting of the Assembly of Guimaro on April 1869 gathered round a table with Carlos Manuel de Cespedes amongst others. Uncirculated.

These Germany 5 marks dated 1904 are in lovely condition (P8a) They are printed in the dense style of the era and feature an illustration of an allegorical woman representing Germania at left with a cherub on the front and a menacing dragon dominating the back. They usually turn up in scruffy condition so we are delighted to offer this ‘Dragon’ 1904 5 marks in Crisp Uncirculated.
