Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue... you know how the rest of the rhyme goes, don't you?
On this new stock upload, we really do have something old and something new (new by our standards), but nothing is borrowed and only two items are blue. We do however have Sixpences, but you don't have to give them to a bride if you don't want to.
There has been a lot of talk of late about schools and business that were connected at one time to slavery and the slave trade. We are proud to be able to offer this Sterling Silver Proof £2 issued by the Royal Mint to honour the 200th anniversary of the Act for the Abolition Slave Trade in Great Britain. You have the date 1807 with a chain on one side and H. M. the Queen on the other side. They are Sterling Silver with the edge gold plated to emulate the base metal bi-metallic coins. A limited number of pieces are available so if you want one, please act quickly if you want it in your collection.
The Royal Mint seems to change the design of the Silver Britannia on a regular basis. This 2017 design is one of the most attractive they have issued. You have Britannia standing with her shield and spear with the British flag and an outline map of Great Britain behind her. Each coin contains one ounce of pure silver and is choice Proof condition complete in the Official Royal Mint package. You also get the Royal Mint certificate and information booklet all in the original Royal Mint package. This design is magnificent and complete in the Royal Mint packaging what more could you want? We have just 5 pieces in stock and once they are gone, they are gone…
