Elizabeth II, Rank-Broadley Sovereign Uncirculated

Pre-decimal Gold Sovereign from Queen Elizabeth II. The coins are selected and many are well above average. All coins are original and genuine and were struck in 22ct (916 2/3rd fine gold).

Queen Elizabeth II came to the throne in 1952 and since then there have been five different busts of her on the Gold Sovereign. A gold sovereign is struck in 22ct gold and weighs about 8 grams. No gold coins were struck for ‘circulation’ until 1957. The bust design offered here is the slightly more mature Young Head by Arnold Machin. Her Majesty is our longest serving Monarch and she is entitled to have the design of her bust changed as she matures with age. All of the coins are struck in 22ct gold all are in Brilliant Uncirculated. Dates will be of our choice.
