We offer crisp uncirculated of the Cuba10 pesos Specimen note dated 1966.(P101s) The fronts have a portrait of Maximo Gomes but the back is particularly impressive with a view of Fidel Castro addresses an enormous and adoring crowd which stretches into the far distance. Crisp Uncirculated.

The passing of Fidel Castro caused quite a wide variety of opinions as to his place in history. There were no monuments to him in Cuba but this 1 peso Specimen note dated in the 1960s and 1970s is perhaps the only one featuring Fidel. It depicts his triumphant entry into Havana on 8th January 1959 after the overthrow of the Batista regime. Fidel is shown alongside fellow revolutionary Camilo Cienfuegos and surrounded by a large crowd. Crisp Uncirculated at £7.50

After 1929 The Provincial Bank of Ireland Limited had to change all its banknotes from payable in Dublin to payable in Belfast. This was because Ireland was now an independent nation and different from Northern Ireland which was a part of Great Britain. These crisp Uncirculated notes are dated 1926 and payable in Dublin so they had to be destroyed. They drilled holes in them to show they were no longer payable and legal tender.
