Civil War Musket & Pistol ball

The English Civil War (1642-1651) was the first conflict fought on English soil using handheld firearms en masse with a tactic called ‘Pike and Shot’. This meant a large formation of infantry with guns firing and pike defending against attack. Most lead ammunition was made using hand moulds by the men who used it. This makes every ball different, made to the requirements of the man and his gun. Over lockdown we had a chance to sort out and found an old box of this shot. Weight suggests the majority are pistol balls, but there are a few musket balls too! We have priced these to please with a very limited number of pairs of a Musket and Pistol balls available. Each will come with a certificate of Authenticity. Get some of the first bullets Made in Britain.

Roman Emperors Starter Collection (Part I)

Thinking of starting an ancient Roman coin collection? We are offering a 'starter collection' containing three different genuine bronze coins of different Roman Emperors spanning a 72 year period from AD 306-378, this also makes the coins at least 1640 years old. Each coin will be in nice collectable condition, clearly identifiable with a well defined portrait of the emperor who issued it. The coins you will receive are struck in bronze and are genuine ancient Roman coins which were minted and circulated across the Empire between AD 306-378 issued by the Emperors Constantine The Great, Constantius II and Valens. Each coin comes with an information sheet with a short history of each emperor. The coins are not mounted onto the cards, they are supplied in individual envelopes marked with the emperors name.
