Crisp Uncirculated 5 dollar notes issued by the Kwantung Provincial Bank in China in 1941.(PS2442d) This bank was the largest of the provincial banks and was eventually absorbed into the People’s Bank of China. The banknote has the portrait of revered revolutionary Sun Yat-Sen on the front with a view of the façade of the Bank Headquarters on the back.

The four values issued by the Amoy Industrial Bank are the 1, 5, 10 and 50 cents (PS1655-8) Amoy is the name for the South Eastern city of Xiamen which can be found in Fujian province. The illustrations are quite simple with buildings and gateway with curved roofs. The serial numbers, unusually, appear on the back rather than the front of the notes.
