Crisp Uncirculated 5 dollar notes issued by the Kwantung Provincial Bank in China in 1941.(PS2442d) This bank was the largest of the provincial banks and was eventually absorbed into the People’s Bank of China. The banknote has the portrait of revered revolutionary Sun Yat-Sen on the front with a view of the façade of the Bank Headquarters on the back.

These 1 yuan notes were issued in the early 1960s (P971b) The front has a portrait of revered revolutionary Sun Yat-Sen and a rocky coastal landscape. The back illustrates the façade of a public building with a tower. Uncirculated.
