A voyage to the ancient world

Our customers have been buying our stock of ancient coins faster than we have been able to restock and upload new items to our website.

If you have been waiting for more ancient coins for your collection, let us take you on a voyage to the ancient world with our new coin list. In this new online upload, we present you with coins ranging from ancient Greece to the Byzantine Empire, as well as the coins of some of Rome's most popular emperors.

This is your opportunity to grab some fantastic examples of ancient Greek coins like the nicely toned AR Nomos from Taras (ancient Spartan colony) minted around 281 - 270 BC in Good Extremely Fine condition.

A highlight of this new list is also the AR Denarius of the Roman Republic featuring the head of the Goddess Roma on the obverse and Hercules strangling the Nemean Lion on the reverse.

Moving on to the Roman Empire, we present you with a scarce Denarius of Augustus with a pleasing portrait, as well as a must-have for collectors of coins featured in the Bible: The Tiberius Tribute Penny, featuring an excellent portrait of the Caesar mentioned by Christ on His "Render unto Caesar..." speech.

Finally, we arrive at the golden years of the Roman Empire (excluding Commodus's reign), with many denarii of the Nerva-Antonine dynasty. Highlighted in this newsletter are the denarii of Trajan and Antoninus Pius, as well as a scarce example of a Aelius denarius (father of Lucius Verus and adopted by Hadrian).

We hope you are able to add some coins from this upload to your collection. Good luck in getting the coins you want!
