World War I_Penny_Set

World War I (George V) Penny Collection 1914-1918

One of our competitors is offering a set of World War I Pennies 1914-1918. Yes, their set comes in a smart case, but they are charging £79.50 for the collection... Also, the coins they illustrated were cleaned, they probably think that improves their appearance, but it actually depreciates their worth. Our coins are average circulated just as theirs are, but ours are natural, we have not cleaned them. We do not supply a case, on the other hand, our set is priced at £10.00 and theirs is priced at £79.50. We will not name the other company, we don't want to shame them any more than their price of £79.50 shames them already...

Picture of United States of America, Death of President Kennedy 1963-2013 50th Anniversary Set

United States of America, Death of President Kennedy 1963-2013 50th Anniversary Set

In November 1963 President John F. Kennedy was killed in Dallas, Texas. Most of us who are old enough to have been alive at the time remember exactly where we were when we first heard of the killing. Coincraft have issued a unique memento of this man and of his successes. We have kept the price very low in order to make this set accessible to as many collectors as possible. This set is to honour a great man and not to make a lot of money. This collection is only available from Coincraft and it makes an excellent gift to people who remember Kennedy and coin collectors all over the world. There are two unique Kennedy Half Dollars, both legal tender and both capable of being used as real money, rather than the non-circulating legal tender coins that most mints issue today. The first is a one-year type coin issued for America’s bi-centennial and it is in Proof condition, the finest quality available. The second coin is dated 2013 and was issued to honour the 50th anniversary of his death. The collection also includes a United States Kennedy stamp that has actually been used. The package includes details about what Kennedy did, such as founding the Peace Corps, launching the Moon race and fighting for civil rights. There is also a fascinating list of the similarities between the killing of Kennedy and President Lincoln. The collection is priced at just £18.95 and is priced to be given as a gift.

France, 3 Coin Set 1916 Extremely Fine

France, 3 Coin Set 1916 Extremely Fine

From the late 1800s until about 1920 the French issued a beautiful set of coins 1/2 Franc to the 2 Francs. It had a woman sowing grain and we guess was based on the paintings of Millet. We've managed to put together date sets of the three silver denominations, Half Franc, One Franc, and Two Francs. This set is dated 1916. All sets contain matching dates and the coins are in Extremely Fine or better condition. They are still toned, as we have not touched them. But we do believe these are some of the most attractive coins that France has issued in modern times. Supplies are extremely limited and we think they are beautiful.

George V, Half Sovereign (1911-1915) Extremely Fine_obv

George V, Half Sovereign (1911-1915) Extremely Fine

In the reign of King George V the gold Half Sovereign was only issued from 1911 until 1915. The Half Sovereign has always been a more difficult coin to obtain than the Sovereign. Mainly because they always made far fewer half-sovereigns than full sovereigns. In this case, they only issued this coin for five years. We can offer nice examples in Extremely Fine condition. And if you order two coins we will make sure you get two different dates. A coin that is missing from many collections and this is your chance to change all that.

Attica_Athens_Ca_431-393 B.C. AR_Tetradrachm_AOE_obv

Attica, Athens. Ca. 431-393 B.C. AR Tetradrachm. AOE. Extremely Fine + Floating Frame Display

These beautiful silver Tetradrachms of Athens are one of the most important and iconic coins ever struck. They were made from the silver mined at Laurion near Athens in the 5th century BC, making them around 2500 years, old and were known for their fineness of silver and standard weight so were accepted all over the known world at the time. The wonderful high-relief design has the helmeted head of the goddess Athena on one side and on the reverse, the eponymous owl of Athens with a sprig of olive above to signify Athens's trade in olive oil, with ‘AΘE’ beside meaning ‘of the Athenians’. The coins on offer are in Extremely Fine condition, a very high grade for an ancient coin, and each coin comes in a ‘floating frame’ to showcase these magnificent coins together with a certificate of authenticity. True ancient works of art in superb condition. Only a very limited number are available. Photograph is representative of coin supplied but all coins available are at least the grade illustrated (Extremely Fine).
