501 Different World Coins_best

501 Different World Coins

We never thought we would ever see these yellow bags of 501 different world coins again. Over 40 years ago we sold them and they sold quickly. Even then, to put 501 different world coins together was a most impressive task. Our friend David at Educational Coin Co. found 300 of these collections that he had put away over 40 years ago and had forgotten. You have to remember he has over 300 million coins and banknotes in stock. We have known him for a very long time and nothing surprises us about him or his company. These are the most fantastic world coin collections that you can ever find, after all 40+ years ago what was common is now very difficult to find. Most of the coins are circulated but many are Uncirculated condition. Just some of the coins included are: Timor, Cambodia, East Germany, Viet-Nam, French Polynesia, Qatar, French Somalia, Netherlands East Indies, Madagascar, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, St. Thomas & Prince, Ireland, South Arabia, San Marino, Uganda, Chile, Fiji, Malaya, Panama, East Africa, Kuwait, India, Mexico, Great Britain, and many many more. 501 different coins, some Uncirculated some circulated, but all put together over forty (40) years ago. We are going to offer the entire collection in the imprinted yellow bag imprinted ‘Seven-Seas Treasure Collection’ from all over the world and all through the ages’ for only £195; that is less than 40 pence a coin. We think these collections are fantastic; what was available more than 40 years ago is just not available now. Please do not miss out.

Charles II, Crown Fine_2022

Charles II, Crown Fine

In 1662 the Mint started making silver crowns on a machine, so they were milled rather than hammered coins. The Crown or five shillings was the largest silver coin made at the time. Please remember that these coins are over 300 years old and were a hell of a lot of money at the time. You have the bust of King Charles II on the obverse four shields and his initials on the reverse. Dates will be of our choice but this first milled crown of King Charles II is available in three grades for most collectors. Offered here in Fine.

Crusader States_Antioch_Bohemond III_(1163 -1201)_Denier_2022

Crusader States, Antioch, Bohemond III (1163 -1201), Denier

The First Crusade was declared in 1095 by Pope Urban II and its objective was to provide military support to Byzantine Emperor Alexios I against the Seljuk Turks, as well as reclaiming the "Holy Land" from Muslim rule. The Crusades started around 1095 and continued for nearly 200 years, during that time four different Crusades were made to retake Jerusalem. The Crusades in the Middle East ended when the city of Acre fell in 1291. These silver deniers or pennies were issued in the name of King Bohemond III (1163-1201), who in the summer of 1191, alongside Guy de Lusignan met Richard of England (Lion Heart) during the siege of Acre. Richard was part of the Third Crusade (1189–1192), an attempt by three European monarchs (including Richard of England) to reconquer the Holy Land from Saladin. The coins on offer have a helmeted Crusader Knight on one side wearing chain-mail and were minted in Antioch (modern-day Turkey) which was captured in 1098 during the First Crusade. The legends read BOAMVNDVS on the obverse and ANTIOCHIA on the reverse and they grade Good Very Fine. These coins are now over 800 years old!
