Victoria Cleland £10 2017 B415 Jane Austen Polymer Unc

Victoria Cleland is no longer Chief Cashier at the Bank of England, having been promoted. She was succeeded by Sarah John in June 2018. It was during Cleland’s term of office that the Bank of England started the transition from paper to polymer banknotes. The Polymer £10 note issued in September 2017 features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the front with a portrait of Jane Austen alongside a view of Godmersham House on the back. Instead of the embedded security thread of the paper £10 note, a see-through security panel serves the same purpose.

Elizabeth II, £5 (Golden Jubilee) 2002 Cupro Nickel Uncirculated

In 2002, Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 50th or Golden Jubilee as our Queen. The Royal Mint issued a special commemorative £5 to honour the event. In many ways it is similar to the Coronation Crown of 1953, as the Queen is riding her horse. The obverse is the Queen with her crown and a most striking portrait it is. They are in Uncirculated condition and now, 20 years later, following the passing of our longest reigning monarch, they are one of the most sought after coins of her reign.
