United States of America, POW/MIA Medal

This medal says it all, ‘Grateful Nation – Never Forget – POW –MIA’ which stands for Prisoner of War (POW) and Missing in Action (MIA). The bold head of a Bald Eagle in white, gold and yellow is set against a red, white and blue American Flag. The other side also has the head of an eagle and five symbols for the five branches of the American armed services. This piece is outstanding in that the colours are bright and vibrant and really knock you out. The sentiment is even more important, these are the service people who have helped defend us and we cannot forget them. One of the nicest pieces we have offered, but supplies are limited.

Picture of Elizabeth II, Maiden Voyage 'New 'Queen Elizabeth Medal

Elizabeth II, Maiden Voyage 'New 'Queen Elizabeth Medal

This handsome crownsized Proof medallion was issued in 1987, some 31 years ago for the Maiden voyage of Cunard’s ship the Queen Elizabeth II. One of the people who made this medallion for Cunard found some in a room at his business. They had sat there forgotten for the past 31 years. Anything with ships on it is highly collectable. In Germany there is even a club for ship coin collectors. This gleaming two coloured Proof shows the great ship on one side the Queen Elizabeth II symbol on the other side. It comes in a six-page full colour presentation wallet. The ship has now been laid up and is no longer in service.

Picture of United States of America, Trump 2nd Amendment Medal

United States of America, Trump 2nd Amendment Medal

This Donald Trump piece is rather controversial. The reverse shows two weapons one a rifle and the other what looks like a heavy gun. The legend reads ‘The 2nd Amendment will never be repealed- Donald J. Trump’. This refers to the 2nd Constitutional Amendment in the United States, which allows its citizens to carry arms. It is that law that allows Americans to arm themselves and protect their property. But there is a strong feeling against it, because of all the shootings that happen in the United States. On the obverse you have Trump facing left and the legend ‘Freedom – In God We Trust -2018’. The reverse has two guns. A most controversial piece, while we think that they should have the right to have guns, we think that perhaps some of the larger guns should not be so readily available to almost anyone. This piece is crownsized struck in a Prooflike goldine material and comes in a protective capsule. We will let you make up your own minds, but this piece is likely to cause some rather ‘interesting’ discussions.
