Part of a series issued by the United Nations Food For All (FAO) organization in Rome to mark World Food Day, 16 October 1983. The medal is 50mm in diameter and struck in high relief in bronze.
One one side you have the letters FAO ROME a lone tree standing in the foreground. The other side depicts the struggle against hunger with a person helping another further down the chain with the legend WORLD FOOD DAY above and the date.
A handsome art medal and piece of modern sculpture in uncirculated condition.
