Sweden, 6-coin Mint Set 1980

This is the Official Swedish Royal Mint 1980 Mint Set. It is contained in a handsome blue hard plastic holder and contains 6 coins. They are 5, 10, 25 and 50 Ore plus the 1 and 5 Kroner. They are listed as Uncirculated but they are in fact Prooflike Uncirculated and sealed in the office case of issue. As a modern mint set, I think the Swedish Mint did an excellent job. Not an easy set to find, but one of our contacts found just 70 sets, don’t forget they are now 40 years old and then there were not as many Swedish collectors as there are now. When they are gone, they are gone.

Picture of Floating Display Case

Floating Display Case

We bought these some time ago, but due to lack of space, we asked the dealer we bought them from to store them for us. He recently asked if we still wanted them? As we had already paid for them, we said yes and now you can own one of these fantastic display pieces at a lot less than is being asked elsewhere. You can take one or more coins or any other collectable, put it in this frame and it will appear to be floating in space. When we first saw it, it blew us away. This is the answer to displaying your coins or other collectables without damaging them. Using it is quite simple: you open the case, position your items where you want them, close the case and there they are – floating in space. If you want to replace the items, all you have to do is open the case, take the items out and replace them with a new coin. These were originally made to sell for £19.95, but the manufacturer never got around to advertising them. We bought them right, as is our plan, if we buy right we sell right. The outer case measures 13 x13 cm and the inner surface measures 10 x10 cm. Once you have seen one you will want to buy some. Remember, they are not just for coins you can display stamps, buttons, curios just about anything that you want.

Sierra Leone, Edward VIII Cupro-nickel

This Sierra Leone Edward VIII piece is one of the more difficult to get in cupro-nickel. We know this better than anyone else, because Richard had them struck. We found it the other day in a storeroom, supplies are limited and all are Uncirculated.

World War II (1939-1945) Remembered - Coins, Stamps and Banknote Set_cover

World War II (1939-1945) Remembered - Coins, Stamps and Banknote Set

This is a fantastic new collection of coins, stamps, and a banknote from World War II. It is exclusive to Coincraft and there were only 5,000 sets made. They make excellent gifts and are rather handsome. You get a set of 4 British coins of King George VI that actually circulated during the Second World War; all coins are dated 1937-1945. They consist of the Brass Threepence, Penny, Halfpenny, and Farthing. You also get the 1943 United States Cent struck in steel; it was only ever struck for one year. Plus a Cent dated 1944-1946 made from melted-down shell cases. You get a Churchill crown, as he was our wartime Prime Minister. You also get a large-sized 1 Lire coin from Italy dated 1940, the year they declared war against Great Britain. Plus you get a pair of mint stamps for the Liberation of the Channel Islands with King George VI’s portrait. Plus two mint stamps from the United States showing the overrun nations of The Netherlands and Luxembourg. Plus a stamp issued by this country just after the War, where they reduced the colour to save ink. Finally, you get a large-sized 10 Rupee note from Burma, issued while it was under Japanese occupation. Don’t miss out on this fantastic collection.
