Poland, Pair of 10 Zlotych Very Fine

In 1964 the Polish Government issued these two types of 10 zloty coins to commemorate the 600th Anniversary of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Founded in 1364 by the popular King Casimir III (the Great), it is the oldest and most prestigious university in Poland. The obverse bears the traditional White Eagle, which is the national coat of arms of Poland. On the reverse of the coin is a stylised portrait of Casimir III, with both a raised and incuse legend in the background. We can offer you both types of this one year only issue.
