Acomplete set of the notes issued over 20 years ago by Zambia between 1980 and 1988. The colourful set comprises the 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 kwacha (P23-8) All our notes feature a portrait of Kenneth Kaunda. Zambia achieved independence in 1964 and Kenneth Kaunda served as its first President from 1964 until 1991. His portrait on the fronts appears alongside a view of the fish eagle, the national bird of Zambia. Illustrations on the backs include a dam, buildings, the cotton harvest and fields of maize. Zimbabwe began issuing notes again in 2019. So far just 4 denominations have been issued. Zimbabwe’s economy was in free fall at the start of the 21st century and denominations climbed through the hundreds, to the millions, billions and finally trillions. These 200 million dollars were issued in 2008 but didn’t last long because denominations quickly climbed into the trillions before revaluation took place in 2009 and the currency was finally suspended.(P81) Be a millionaire 200 times over.
