British North Borneo, Edward VIII Pattern Crown

We have found this wonderful Staffa Gold, just in time for Christmas. Staffa is one of the Scottish islands and it issues its own stamps. This is an £8.00 stamp issued in 22ct gold foil in 1981. It features an Angel in the sky on this oversized large gold foil stamp. Now, these stamps are issued for local posting only, but it comes in a red gold embossed folder with a green inner. What could be more appropriate for Christmas than a gold foil Angel stamp in a red and green presentation folder? This stamp is now almost 40 years old. The face value was £8.00, the presentation folder cost a bunch and then there is the gold foil. So we think our price of just £14.50 is very reasonable and what a fantastic Christmas gift it would make for a collector or a youngster.

Canadian Patina piece featuring Edward VIII with a crowned head. The reverse has the famous trapper and native guide in a canoe with a pine tree behind them. The design was used on most Canadian Silver Dollars from 1935 until 1966. The mintage was just 750 pieces. They are struck in bronze and in Prooflike condition and we think are very important to any Edward VIII collection.

In 1977 Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her Silver Jubilee 1952-1977. She visited Lundy and a souvenir sheet was issued to honour that event. We have been offering that souvenir sheet with the two coin-tokens of a Puffin and a Half Puffin based on the first Lundy coin-tokens issued in 1929. At that time, the Government took umbrage, and the man who made them had to go to court. Many of our collectors want the coin-tokens, but do not want the souvenir sheet. They are struck in copper and are in brilliant Proof condition. Well worth adding to your collection, after all, how many Lundy issues have there been?
